Walk back in time with History@Hand as we take you on a 1.5 hour tour pointing out locations of some of the 400 plus Jewish businesses we found while researching The Family Store exhibit.
Hear stories of business men and women, some of whom came to Asheville before 1880, and learn what Asheville was like in those early years.
Learn about Asheville’s vibrant Jewish community, which has supported two synagogues since the 1890s and is the smallest Jewish community in America to support a Jewish Community Center founded in 1940.
Call 828-777-1014 to make a reservation.
Price is $20 adult, $12 child.
Enhance your tour experience with a copy of The Family Store: A History of Jewish Businesses in Downtown Asheville, 1880-1990 exhibit book.
